Apparently a few other people feel the same way you do… Nicole over at Scriv’s site Forever Geek mentioned that she got an email too.

Now my question is whether or not people will actually switch to Gmail when it goes public. I mean, Firefox has seen a tremendous amount of growth, but look at the amount of people who haven’t switched. There’s a better product out there (and it’s free) but people don’t care. They get comfortable using a program and stick with it. I just recently got my wife’s parents to upgrade from Windows 98…

So what do you think? Will Gmail see much more growth if/when it goes public?

I too have an insane amount of invites, when they bumped it up to 50 I just thought to myself how there was no way I could do anything with them.

I’ve got a whopping 49 invites left, anyone wants a g[mail]umball and can’t get one from Jason just ask me.

I think there will be more people signing up when it goes public, but there won’t be a massive rush to the service, which I’m guessing is what they were trying to avoid with the whole social network invite system.

Rich says:

if you have any invites left, I would greatly appreciate one.

Thank you,

Rich

That was quick. I’ve only got…well, I have 48. If anyone else needs one, just drop a comment here.
