Self portrait wearing a black shirt and my Rayban Meta glasses with plants in the background.Hello, I’m Jason. 👋

I love leading in-house design teams
to solve real problems for real people.

I’ve been crafting delightful experiences on the web for over 2 decades and for the last 6 years, I’ve been managing and growing high-performing product design teams. My background in front-end development enables me to bridge the gap between engineering, product, and design as we partner in transforming complex problems into elegant solutions for our users.

My portfolio showcases not just what I’ve built, but how my collaborative leadership style empowers cross-discipline teams to deliver their best work.

A brief work history.

I’ve made significant, lasting impacts at every organization I’ve served—establishing and iterating on design systems, developing bar-setting features, and shaping the culture of world-class teams. Learn more about some of the projects I’m most proud of from each of the product teams I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of:

Elsewhere on the web.

Outside of work, I co-organize a monthly UX meetup in Orlando, have spoken about design and UX at conferences, and enjoy helping people connect with the field.

I’ve always enjoyed writing about what I’m learning and experimenting with, whether it’s here on my site, for a company blog/newsletter, or on social. I’m also the original author of Sitepoint’s bestselling design book, The Principles of Beautiful Web Design.
